TIX now avail for July 13th Kick-off Party at Central Steak

On July 13th, from 5-8p White Management will be hosting a very special kick-off party, “5Kourses of White Management” on their gorgeous new patio at Central Steak in Colonie. Proceeds from this evening will support Capital Region Special Surgery (CRSS) Race for Hope fundraising efforts.

Each chef from all of the White Management eateries (CREO, Bountiful Bread, Mangia, and, of course, Central Steak) will be offering small plate versions of farmers-market fresh, healthy recipes created exclusively with CRSS Race for Hope walkers and runners in mind. In the weeks following this 5Kourse event and leading up to the September 10th CRSS Race for Hope 5k, videos with each chef preparing their special dish will be released online.

A preview of some of the magic instore includes a lemon-pepper roasted salmon fillet with ginger-infused vegetables and sweet soy glaze and grilled pizza topped with grilled summer vegetables like asparagus, zucchini, eggplant, red onion and tomatoes from Jim Franklin at Mangia and a Circassian chicken-walnut salad from Josh Alcott at Bountiful Bread and a mouth-watering Balsamic Chicken and Succotash from Central Steak’s own Chef Dave.

Tickets are $35 and can be purchased in advance online or by calling Chris Turner at 518-438-2655 or at the door that night.

About CRSS Race for Hope

Since 2009, the Capital Region Special Surgery Race for Hope events have raised over $200,000, of which all monies have been dedicated to fundraising, since overhead costs are underwritten by Capital Region Special Surgery. This year's 5K will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017. The major goal of the Capital Region Special Surgery – Race for Hope Fund, in partnership with the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, is to make grants to not-for-profit organizations/programs serving uninsured and underinsured patients who are experiencing a financial hardship related to a brain, head, or neck cancer diagnosis in the Capital Region (Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, Washington counties). Thus far, these proceeds have been allocated to the following local 501c3 organizations: Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, Inc. C.R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital, Ellis Hospital Foundation, Inc., Saratoga Hospital—Mollie Wilmot Radiation Oncology Center, and patient services at St. Peter’s Cancer Care Center.
